Buck Sharp / Interactive Designer

Buck got his humble Internet beginnings in 1995 by managing the voluminous Web presence of the Epidemiology & Prevention division of the Georgia Department of Public Health. During this time he was also exposed to designing user interfaces for the Web. He was instrumental in designing the front end of SENDSS (the State Electronic Notifiable Disease Surveillance System).

After learning entirely too much about diseases, he convinced his wife, Stephanie, to cast aside the stability of full-time employment and begin the entrepreneurial adventure we now know as Plexus.

From 1997-2003 Buck created and shaped the Plexus identity and designed and built the lion's share of sites produced by Plexus.

Currently Buck enjoys being part of the Plexus design triumvirate. He now gets to focus more time on making the Plexus Site Manager as easy to use as possible for clients as well as focusing on user interface design for custom Web applications.

Buck is a fan of: His kids Emma and Erin, photography, design (all forms), Canon, Mad Men (TV Show), Terrapin beer, most other beer, the Georgia Bulldogs, tennis, iPhone and most other things Apple.

Buck is not a fan of: Unreasonably slow drivers when I'm running late, control freaks, Application error (Rails), pretentious people, headaches, bad customer service and weak coffee.

Buck is not as serious as he looks in his picture.
